I just ordered dji mini2 today and will arrive tomorrow. Kinda disappointed to know that there are very few supported phones. Previously, I used the old Lenovo K6 Note smartphone with 3GB of RAM. It’s also compatible, the DJI FLY app worked fine, I could fly the drone, but in the phone itself the battery was draining quickly, so I had to replace that smartphone. There are too many different models of Android phones and tablets in the market, so the Android compatibility issue is much more complicated.
Calibrating the compass will ensure that the GPS is functioning correctly both in flight and in relation to the on-screen map in the drone app you’re using. When you calibrate the compass, make sure it’s performed away from metal objects to avoid magnetic interference. When you turn on your drone for the first time, and also visit a new location that’s more than 20 miles from the location of your last flight, your drone will generally prompt you to calibrate the compass. This is a great setting that will keep the drone close to you while you learn how to use the flight controls and perform basic flight maneuvers, take-offs and landings.
