Both Trek and huffy beach cruiser make good bicycles, but they’re suitable for different types of riders. If you are a serious fitness rider or you aspire to race, get a Trek model. If you are a casual rider who just enjoys cycling, Schwinn will do the job at a low price. Right from the beginning, Schwinn and Arnold set the goal of producing a bicycle of undeniably superior design; something that would separate itself from the sea of cheap ramshackle models flooding the market. The company branded its product the “World” bicycle, and loaded its early catalogs with flowery language of international conquest.

Ignaz began producing his bicycles in 1895 and worked at the company he founded, Arnold, huffy beach cruiser in Chicago, until his death in 1948. Frank W., son of Ignaz, worked at Schwinn from 1918 until his death in 1963. While they never envisioned a bicycle designed especially for riding off-road, they made vital contributions to the sport of mountain biking.

Mesa 3 has basic components, but you don’t need much more if you don’t intend to ride on serious trails. It also gives you 21 gears, streamlined rim brakes, and wide tires for excellent grip on any unpaved road.

The Marshal is a more affordable hybrid Schwinn electric bike suitable for commuters and casual riders who need some assistance. It’s available with a step-over and a step-through aluminum frame. Schwinn Suburban also features a 21-speed drivetrain and alloy linear-pull brakes, both of which are great for recreational riders and commuters. The carbon 105 models are even ridden by the STKD Racing Squad, which is a Category 3 women’s road racing team.
