Cuisinart® PerfecTemp® 14-Cup Programmable Coffee Maker

We consider overall value for money as well, so however much you want to spend and whatever features you’re after, there’s one here to suit every kitchen. During brewing you can pull out the carafe to pour your coffee without any spilling, brewing will then continue when you replace the carafe. The resting plate underneath the carafe was the only part of the coffee maker that became hot through brewing; the rest of it stayed cool to the touch. The $139.99 Keurig K-Duo is a very different machine, although it has many of the same functions. Like the SS-15P1, it has a 12-cup glass carafe with a heating plate and reusable gold tone mesh filter.

You will have to play around with them sometimes to get them in correctly. The biggest turn-off of this particular unit is that it only heats your coffee to 160°. The 10 cup capacity refers to smaller coffee cups; if you’re filling a good-sized mug then you should get enough coffee to fill it five times. If you’re looking for a coffee maker that can produce 10 mugs of coffee in one brew, this isn’t the appliance for you. The Cuisinart Grind & Brew Auto is about the size we’d expect for this style of coffee maker, measuring 15 x 8 x 8.1 inches/ 38 x 20.3 x 20.6cm .

Shower head style spigot provides even coverage of hot water over coffee grounds. Thermal carafe can keep coffee hot for as long as 4 hours with minimal degradation to flavor. When it comes to Keurig K-Mini makers, there isn’t anything better than this SCAA certified pour over beauty. Easy to use and doesn’t take up too much space on the counter. Being able to program our morning coffee is so important to us and love the options it comes with!! Also, beautifully constructed and love the blue lights.

First we brewed the full 10 cup maximum capacity, which took just over 10 minutes, including the grinding. The manual advises roughly one scoop of beans per cup, but not more than 14 scoops, so we opted for 12 to ensure it would be strong enough. The flavor was fresh and well rounded – not bitter or too strong – but this will vary depending on the beans you use.

That makes the machine ideal for large households, people who return for cup after cup throughout the morning, or for entertaining guests. This is a brand-new version of the PerfecTemp with a touchscreen Cuisinart Coffee instead of buttons. When you’re not using it, the panel “goes to sleep” giving it a sleek look. The DGB 900BC is Cuisinart’s answer to a premium thermal grind and brew coffee machine.

The water reservoir is filled by flipping up the top lid, and there’s a water level indicator with cup markers on the side of the coffee maker. The Coffee Center comes with a reusable gold tone filter, but you can also use a #4 paper filter to brew coffee. Doing so can overflow your filter basket, so choose either one or the other when brewing your morning joe.
