Keurig K-Mini Plus Review

Conveniently, it has transparent sides so that you can see how much water you’ve added. This can be a little hard to see from the front, however. The Keurig Mini is a sleek, compact machine that will fit on even the most crowded kitchen counters. It’s available in four colors, including pink and green, and operates using a single silver button on the top. With the product reviews, I post links where you can shop for those products. If you buy through those links, I will receive compensation.

Like its predecessor Keurig Mini, the brewer has a single cup reservoir. You can brew any cup size between 6-12 ounces depending on how much water you pour into the tank. A single cup reservoir ensures that the water is always fresh, but it will require some extra time for heating the water for each cup. The reservoir can be removed from the base so it’s easy to rinse and refill.

The idea of a single-serve may be appealing to someone who lives alone, but you can’t make big batches of coffee at once to accommodate more people. In fact, you have to refill the reservoir for every cup, so you can’t even continually hit the brew button. The machine has a strong brew button for a stronger flavor.

Your attention was focused on the two boxes that appeared to contain the same product but had a gap in price that would imply that one is different than the other. The point is that sometimes the differences are minute, and it comes down to price and how that affects options. Perfect Pod is proud to be the engineering and industry leader in the reusable coffee filter category… Being the first, and so far the only company to bring K-Mini compatible reusable filters to the market. Keurig K-Mini

As you can see from our 5/5 star rating for “ease of use,” the K Mini Plus is extremely easy to use – even if you’ve never used a standard coffee machine before. While the instructions can probably make things pretty clear, we’ll do a quick outline of the simple steps here. The temperature of the brew consistently sat between 160 and 170 F degrees.

The drip tray is removable, so you can take it out to make room for your favorite travel mug up to 7 inches tall. While it didn’t score the highest spot on our Keurig machine buying guide, it still holds its own as a premier single serve coffee appliance. It takes just over two minutes for the K-Mini to warm up and brew a single cup of coffee.

First “cleaning” brew & first cup of coffee was fine, then it failed to empty the water reservoir completely for the second cup. Several test runs were irrational; some brewed, others didn’t. Meanwhile, the K-Mini Plus Cuisinart Coffee brews between six and 12oz of coffee, determined by how much water you pour in the tank. This affects the overall flavor because the K-Slim cannot brew less than 8oz and doesn’t have the “Strong Brew” function.
