It’s interesting to note here that many of the positive reviews on this cookware are from people whounderstand that these pans have to be replaced every few years and are okay with that. If you want a pan that lasts longer than that–or does not require the use of a cooking fat to prevent sticking of most foods–this is not the right choice for you. Excellent price point (even the 12-inch skillet is under $30), but you will probably have to replace these pans every few years. It is a little on the thin side, so we did see some scorching in our tests.

Even though there are some issues with Gotham Steel Cookware’s performance, the price is hard to beat. It’s a great starting point for any budding home chef or a housewarming gift for a person needing their first cookware set. There’s a lot of mixed reviews of how well they perform overall.
