Weber Q Series 320 Portable Gas Grill, 586002

Q2200 grill also features large folding tables on the side that have been reinforced with glass for extra protection. If this was not enough, the burner provides BTU-per-hour to the LP and can be ignited in an instant with its electronic ignition. Besides this, you can control the temperature easily using the infinite control valve settings and the built-in thermometer in the lid. Naturally, the Weber Q 2200 is meant to be portable, so its small cooking space isn’t too surprising.

The grease tray in the bottom of the grill collects the grease and debris that runs out. Weber sells disposable aluminum trays that fit in this little compartment, but it’s not necessary to use them. In my opinion, it’s not much more work to clean out the tray along with the rest of the grill. If you are interested in using them, they are relatively inexpensive.

The grill surface itself also has a lot to do with the effectiveness of the Q 1200. Unlike so many other grills that are outfitted with a simple, stainless steel grate, the range of this barbecue is porcelain-enameled cast iron. While it is likely best known in its skillet form, this material is famous for heat retention and the resulting even distribution across the cook surface. Furthermore, the liquid propane grill provides BTU-per-hour from its two burners that can heat the grill quite fast. Apart from this, the high lid helps to distribute the heat evenly on the grill, while the infinite heat control system helps to maintain the temperature.

This means that the burner doesn’t need to crank out heat at nearly the same rate as other, less well-insulated grills. It seems that the handle above the regulator is not quite in the right spot, and it can be challenging to attach a 16.4oz propane bottle to it. Weber suggests lifting the grill up by the right side handle to connect the cylinder at a bit of an angle. Modifying the handle by grinding or filing out a bit for extra clearance will void your warranty. While wind can be a factor, it’s pretty easy to work around.

Unequivocally, the weber q 1200 is a fantastic portable grill, taking the top spot as our favorite. Ease of use and cooking performance are supported by durability, making it a reliable option for even the longest of road trips. Even though its weight may keep you from carrying it into more remote locations, that job is best left to backpacking stoves anyway.

Last up is the cart itself, which while functional, is about as flimsy as the tables. The cart will do perfectly fine while you are grilling your burgers but has quite a bit of wobble once you grab a brush and try to scrape it clean. The cart does collapse and you can roll the thing around but you will not want to. There is no lid latch to keep the lid closed during transport and the grates will bounce around, and then out, of the grill while you are rolling the cart. The Q2200 has a single burner the goes around the body of the grill.

I end up bringing the grates inside the kitchen and scrubbing them in the sink as a scraping them with a grill brush portable bbq isn’t very effective. The one pound propane bottles are expensive and must be disposed of as hazardous waste. It is illegal to toss empty propane bottles in your normal household trash.

The grill has the dimensions 14.5 x 27 x 16.5 inches with the lid closed and weighs only 30 pounds, making it portable enough to take it with you in your RV. The key to a good barbeque lies in the quality of the meat, the recipe, and of course, the company. How else will you get a perfectly tender yet smoky piece of steak? If you do not own a reliable and trust-worthy grill, your barbeque experience could be quite frustrating.
