It weighs almost exactly as much as the corded BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro, but its redesigned handle places less weight in your hand as you maneuver it around. We’ve changed the full product name to ‘BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max’ in order for the review to encompass all model variants.

No, you definitely don’t have to only use the Bissel CorssWave’s solution for your vacuum. I used the solution it came with until it ran out and then I used mycastile dyson robot vacuum soap solution. At this point, I pop out the roller and windshield attachment to make sure everything is wiped out and cleaned before retiring my vacuum for the day.

I should say it does an okay job with corners, but not as well as it would do with a hose. So If I wanted to wash down my furniture I actually have to lift up my vacuum and place it on my furniture and work it back and forth. The website does say that they have improved this feature, but it’s still not ideal for those areas because there are no attachments.

This way, I can alternate the two between cleaning my floors. The crosswave is much more expensive with many more features but essentially does the same thing as the pet pro model. I don’t think it has a strong enough mopping function to clean grout lines. It does a great job at refreshing everything, but it’s not as powerful as say a steam mop.

It will then enter into a self-cleaning mode where It flushes out dirt, hair, and debris. When the self cleaning cycle is finished, simply empty the dirty tank of water and its ready for the next use. The floorhead release hinge unlocks with very little effort, making it hard to roll the vacuum around when it’s positioned completely upright. You’ll likely find it easier to move the vacuum from place to place by using the grab handle, which has a rubberized surface to give you a more secure grip. Most of its controls are within easy reach, with dyson robot vacuum its surface mode switch on top of the handle and a detergent trigger just underneath it. It’s perfect for large areas with many types of flooring, including tile floors, wooden floors, and can even clean area rugs and carpets. It leaves your carpets slightly damp, but they dry quickly. I will say, this does not replace a carpet shampooer.

The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is a cordless upright hybrid vacuum/mop. Compared to the corded BISSELL CrossWave Pet Pro, it has a less powerful motor that leaves it incapable of cleaning dense high-pile carpeting. That said, it’s easier to maneuver and does just as good a job when vacuuming debris or scrubbing away stains on bare floors. The BISSELL CrossWave Cordless Max is good for cleaning bare floors. It easily clears away pet hair as well as small and bulky debris on this surface type, with no significant loss in suction performance as its dustbin fills up.

It doesn’t have enough power to keep its brushroll spinning on dense high-pile carpeting, and its relatively weak suction motor can’t draw debris from carpet fibers. The water tank was pretty dirty after cleaning my area rugs so I know it did its job. My real highlight with the Crosswave vacuum is the mop for hard surfaces. The dyson robot vacuum Max has a fairly spacious dirt compartment. It’s important to note that this vacuum also has a 28 oz water tank for its mopping feature. The clean tank dispenses water and solution mixture with a pull of a trigger, while dirty water is removed from floors and stored in a separate dirty water tank.
