The construction is solid, and the pump system works like a charm to combat the dirt, grime, and gunk that comes with having kids jump in and out of a pool. The flat surface we found in our yard was pretty far from the side of our house, but we were able to connect the pool pump to a power source via an extension cord. As for water, we had to run a hose from a spigot on a second-story patio down to the pool. It took between six and eight hours to fill the pool to the fill line, which is about 90 percent of the 1,718-gallon capacity.
First, double check to make sure that everything is ready and within arm’s reach. You’ll want to be able to grab what you need quickly since you will be losing some water during parts of this process. Also, make sure that there are no tools or anything on the ground near the pool that can’t get wet.

These pools are either oval or round, and come in a variety of colors and styles. Because they are more customizable, the filter and pump system are generally purchased separately. While a ladder is also typically not included with a steel-wall pool, aluminum-wall pools may have a ladder included in the package. Indeed, everything you need for a complete pool – straight out of the box! The setup and teardown of these pools is also quite easy, and they can be ready for water in under an hour! Like the Easy-Set pools, it is recommended that these pools are drained and stowed during the winter months.
Intex pools — the same as with all other swimming pools — require a filter, pump and the appropriate chemicals, such as chlorine, to keep the pool water clean and sanitary for swimmers. Cleaning tools such as brushes, nets and skimmers should be used to keep the sides and surface of the pool free of algae and debris. Intex swimming pools must be placed on a flat, level surface consisting of grass, compacted dirt or pavement.
Run your filter pump for at least 12 hours a day, every day. This will make sure all the water in your pool circulates at least once. In an ideal world of bottomless money vaults, you could run your pool pump 24 hours a day, but 12 hours is a good compromise.
