Buy Weber Q Series

Though it’s available with the same Titianium colored lid that all other gas models have, it is also available in several other colors as well. Red, blue, orange, and green colored lids are all unique to the Q1200, but it also has a black model, similar to the electric versions. Despite a few hot spots here and there, the only exception to the even heat distribution of this grill weber charcoal grill are the farthest edges of the grill surface. The only annoyance in the wind is the disposable aluminum drip tray liner, which is designed to save you from having to clean what can notoriously be the nastiest part of a grill. Without some significant weight added — like a rock — you can expect that this drip pan will pick up and fly away with the first significant gust of wind.

Both of the 3200 models include folding side tables for storage in tight areas. It just so happened that while I was testing the grill, my boyfriend had an off-site event at work. Instead of just ordering a pizza, he and his coworkers decided to have a parking lot cookout at lunchtime, and I offered to let them use the Weber to test its portability.

They both accept both the 14.1oz and 16.4oz disposable propane bottles. This is far more cost-effective and won’t leave you running out of propane halfway through cooking a meal. Ideal for cooking hotdogs, hamburgers, chicken, steaks, and veggies.

He packed up the grill in the bed of his truck, and while he was surprised at its weight—which is more than 40 pounds—he really liked that it felt sturdy and durable. Using the grill, he was able to cook easily for himself and four coworkers, and they all agreed that the burgers and hot dogs came out great. Like a kid on Christmas, I couldn’t help but try out the weber charcoal grill 2200 the day I got it. I had leftover ground beef in the fridge, so I decided to grill up a burger for dinner.

But don’t let the word “basic” discourage you from buying this model. It’s considered a staple in the Weber world and is a great portable propane grill to own. The Q 1000 features a rust resistant cast aluminum lid and body, making the grill lightweight, but still durable. The ignition is an electronic push-to-start, so firing up the grill for a cookout is quick and easy. You can cook about six burgers at a time on the Q 1000’s 189 square inch grilling surface.

The cart is wheeled, giving backyard grillmasters the ability to move their grill around for optimal conditions. I don’t use them much anymore because I’m always testing new portable grills, but let me expand on that. The manufacturer’s warranty on all of these grills is outstanding. The warranty on the cast aluminum body and Thermoset/Thermoplastic parts is 5 years. Warranties on all other parts are for 2 years, which is more than enough time to work out any defects that might be present. Lastly, the Q3200 includes a significant feature that none of the other grills have.
