Dyson 360 Heurist vs Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop Pro: What is the difference?

Dyson’s $700 V15 Detect has a laser that illuminates dust normally invisible to the human eye. To my horror, the laser showed that every inch of the floor in every room of the house was blanketed in a light layer of dog fur. The FCC filings come as the Dyson 360 Eye, which the company revealed as its first robotic vacuum in 2014, is listed as “out of stock” on the company’s US website. Dyson released the 360 Eye Heurist robotic vacuum last year but not in the US, so these FCC filings could point to Dyson’s second US attempt at tackling the likes of the Roomba.

Using whatever navigation system they have, whether it’s automatic smart navigation or via boundary strips, the majority of robot vacuum cleaners on this list are fine with hard floors. Nevertheless, it is always worth checking as some may focus on certain other areas, such as picking up pet hair, over being great on harder floors. I spent a long time debating this purchase, but having had the Heurist for just over a month now, I’m delighted with the overall performance and benefits it brings. This pays so many dividends later on and makes the excellent smartphone app event better.

Truthfully, you could even use it as a backup to a Roomba, tackling parts that are impossible to clean with a Roomba, such as different floors where the machine isn’t being used or a flight of stairs. Not everyone has the same furniture or floor setting, so this might not be the case for your dyson robot vacuum carpets. Although this isn’t true, it’s clear that Roomba has influenced the creation of many similar robot vacuum designs. While the performance of the Dyson 360 Heurist is unmatched, given the fact that it is about three times costlier than the Shark IQ Robot, it is to be expected.

These obstacles include wall edges, table and chair legs, couches and other furniture, and so on, plus bare tile and hardwood floors, as well as carpet. The dimensions of the lights correspond to the measured nozzle width of each particular robot vacuum we test. – Both are two of the biggest names in the autonomous vacuum market. However, iRobot’s main focus is on making cordless autonomous vacuums, while Dyson designs and dells vacuum cleaners across multiple categories. Dyson sells a wide range of vacuum cleaners, from handheld vacuums to uprights vacuums, stick vacuums, robotic vacuums, and wall-mounted vacuums.

Thanks to the motorised brush that runs the entire width of the vacuum cleaner, you get full suction power right up to the edges of rooms, doing away with the need for side-sweeping brushes. The cleaning performance of the Dyson V10 is nearly flawless in all categories, capturing an average of 99% of debris during our tests across all three flooring types. Unlike the robot vacuums, even granulated sugar proved to be no match for the Dyson V10. The cleaning performance of the Roomba 690 is pretty impressive considering its lower than average price tag. When cleaning hardwood floors, the 690 captured nearly 98% of debris. When cleaning low pile carpet it was around 93% and high pile carpet was just slightly less at 91%.

While the Roombas aren’t bad on carpet by any stretch, the one area where they struggled was cleaning sugar. If you aren’t regularly spilling sugar into your carpet, it is likely that the Roomba lineup may still have the performance you need. Again, this has quite a few similarities to newer V-Series models.

Dyson 360 Heurist has an easy-to-use app that provides the most functionality. The app enables you to schedule cleaning for a week, keep track of the areas that have been cleaned, and also switch between its three power modes; quiet, high, and max. It’s one Dyson Link app for all your connected Dyson machines; so the Heurist lives alongside any heaters, coolers and Lightcycle lamps you might have in your household. Thankfully this all very Dyson-esque, with compartments and segments shark cordless all popping apart with ease. The 330ml dust bin is on the small side but is super simple to pop out and empty. The good news is you can prevent this from happening using some settings in the app, which I’ll get onto in a bit.

Promotions and special deals at different times of the year could greatly reduce these prices, discounting them depending on where you purchase one from. There’s another smaller handheld vacuum connected to it, which is easily separated by a switch located near to the machine’s handle. Yet the suction is fast and a quick five-minute clean can do what would take a Roomba much longer to accomplish. Here’s even a cheaper model available to customers that are on a budget. The result is you have control over the unit anywhere you may be, on any nearby Apple device. It’ll even give you recommendations showing problem areas and parts of the floor that push more debris into its container.

Yes, the height is important, but also lighting and other items that may be under the couch. The Roomba also has three-stage cleaning and carpet boost technology. However, that being said, it still underperforms what Roomba owners have become used too. It will clean well, and it doesn’t miss a lot, but compared to some of the earlier models with fewer features, it doesn’t do as good of a job as it should.
