Shark Pet Cordless Stick Vacuum with PowerFins UZ155

As well as using them as handhelds what I found is that all four have very good suction powder and they all got the job done. However, the power fins that both Sharks have on their rotating floor vacuum elements give them a leg up over the Dyson Animals on vacuuming larger items like dry dog food and Cheerios. So when used as full stick vacuums, Dysons are lighter than Sharks. However – a heavier vacuum isn’t necessarily a disadvantage – just something to be aware of. A heavier vacuum will naturally push down onto the floor its cleaning more. The more it pushes down the more dirt it will dislodge and, in theory, the cleaner your floor will be.

It was our No. 1 finisher on low-pile carpet, with a sand score of 93% and another perfect 100% with the black rice. It’s a strong performer on plushier, mid-pile carpet, too, which is our most difficult test. The Pure One S11 finished in third here, gathering up 78% of the sand and, once again, 100% of the black rice.

There’s a reason Shark vacuums are a top buy—the brand’s offerings come with powerful suction, fully-sealed HEPA filtration systems, and comprehensive warranties, all at affordable prices. Plus, in recent years, the brand has come toe-to-toe with its more expensive rival, Dyson, to release innovative designs for robot vacuums and handheld models. You’ll be ready to tackle any mess with a cordless vacuum cleaner. Shark is a well-known manufacturer of vacuums, and many of their models have a convenient cordless design. EBay is the place to purchase new, used, and eBay Refurbished Shark cordless vacuum cleaners. The downside is that its small dust cup that needs to be emptied more frequently than most other cordless stick vacuums.

Even our most economical option, the Navigator, receives rave reviews for its ability to pick up pet hair. Both the ION P50 and the F80 use DuoClean technology, bissell crosswave cordless and therefore, excel at picking up most messes they come across. A long-lasting battery also has a significant impact on how convenient a cordless vacuum is.

The Pure One S11’s black-and-white build is perhaps a bit bland, and we wish that it offered a bit more than 40 minutes of runtime under optimal conditions. Still, those are fair tradeoffs at this price, especially considering how well it cleans. At $400 or less, it’s the first cordless vacuum we’d recommend for just about anyone in need of a new one. Knowing where and what you’ll be cleaning is helpful when choosing a cordless vacuum, especially since Shark offers a large range of options. The other vacuums on our list can last up to 20-to-50 minutes when in normal suction mode.

Shark offers a variety of cordless vacuums in different price ranges and for various cleaning needs. Their vast selection of cordless vacuums can make selecting one feel overwhelming, especially when there are so many factors to consider when choosing a cordless vacuum. Figuring out and comparing run times of cordless vacuums is tricky because the times reported by the brands are not under conditions of typical use. Dyson v10 and v11 cordless vacuums reportedly have up to 60 minutes of fade-free run time with a non-motorized attachment (the typical floor attachment is motorized). The Shark Rocket Pet Pro and Shark Vertex reportedly have up to 40 minutes and 60 minutes, respectively, of runtime in standard mode measured at the hand vac (again, not with the typical floor attachment).

Many years and many models later, Dyson remains a fixture of the category in 2023, but it’s not quite as dominant in our cleaning tests as it was five or 10 years ago. At this point, there are multiple competitors with top models that can go toe to toe with Dyson on our test floors. And as I side note, both Sharks have lights on the vacuum heads that help illuminate dirt and dust which is a feature I really like that the Dyson v10 and v11 don’t have. The Dyson v15 have a similar feature to the Sharks but it’s a bit more advanced with a laser that illuminates unseen dust and debris. I also like that the Dyson v15 and Dyson v10 Absolute have a fluffy roller head that gives them a leg-up for cleaning on hardwood floors and is gentler on them too.

It picks up all dust, grime and pet hair brilliantly, but the battery runs out in under 10 minutes on full power. There are several types of vacuum cleaner on the market, including upright, cylinder, robot, handheld and stick. The design of a cordless stick offers the most convenience and manoeuvrability, typically featuring a slim “stick” body and a smaller canister to be regularly emptied. They’re compact to store (some can be mounted on the wall) and lighter than upright and cylinder vacuums, making them generally more comfortable to use. Apart from being a strong performer in our pet hair tests, the A11 Hero was near flawless on hardwood floors, vacuuming up 97% of sand and 98% of black rice. It finished just outside the top 5 on low-pile carpet, removing a respectable 83% of sand and a near-perfect 99% of black rice — and every vacuum that did better in that test costs hundreds more.
