Seiko has a really unique design language for their logos, and the model new 5 matches right in. It’s extremely stylized and blocky, and at first look it doesn’t really look like a “5”. I get heavy vintage Seiko Quartz logo vibes from it (in an excellent way). The new logo is balanced out by the word “Automatic” in a stylized script simply above the 6 o’clock marker. Limited to fifteen,555 pieces, the Seiko 5 Sports fifty fifth Anniversary Limited Edition SRPK17 is priced at €410 Euros and will be available at select Seiko boutiques and retailers in July 2023.
There’s some brushing current on the motion plates and a few bevels here and there, however the appearance is general utilitarian.
