As first reported by the Verge, Dyson filed documents with the FCC that give a sneak peek at what may be the US’ first available Dyson robot vacuum cleaner. Of course, it won’t vacuum your floors for you like a robot will, but with the simple trigger switch, you can use just the right amount of power you need for each job, saving battery life for the cleaning task. The Dyson V10 cordless stick vacuum is Dyson’s newest stick model to date. It features the highest level of suction and lowest maintenance costs of any of the Dyson V-Series stick vacuums. During all four of our tests, the Roomba 960 captured 100% of debris on the hardwood floor. The difference in cleaning performance between the 980 and 960 is more noticeable on the carpeted floors, where it only captured between 87-88% of the debris, on average.

The Dyson 360 Heurist needs adequate space to navigate; if you have a lot of furniture with relatively small gaps, then you may find this robot vac won’t go everywhere you want it to. The 360 Heurist comes with the same pull-out 0.33-litre bin at the front of the cleaner as the original.
It’s one Dyson Link app for all your connected Dyson machines; so the Heurist lives alongside any heaters, coolers and Lightcycle lamps you might have in your household. Thankfully this all very Dyson-esque, with compartments and segments all popping apart with ease. The 330ml dust bin is on the small side but is super simple to pop out and empty. The good news is you can prevent this from happening using some settings in the app, which I’ll get onto in a bit.
Promotions and special deals at different times of the year could greatly reduce these prices, discounting them depending on where you purchase one from. There’s another smaller handheld vacuum connected to it, which is easily separated by a switch located near to the machine’s handle. Yet the suction is fast and a quick five-minute clean can do what would take a Roomba much longer to accomplish. Here’s even a cheaper model available to customers that are on a budget. The result is you have control over the unit anywhere you may be, on any nearby Apple device. It’ll even give you recommendations showing problem areas and parts of the floor that push more debris into its container.
You don’t get this level of detail with any other robot vacuum cleaner. The 360 Eye came in a fairly dull grey color but the neon blue of the Heurist, borrowed from the popular air conditioning units the company makes, makes for a striking design. New models will come out with new features and options and eventually there will be a clear winner. In truth, there have been several tests done on each of these vacuums.
