While the most portable options are its tabletop grills, which are compact and weigh around 30 pounds, many of its 28-inch and 36-inch models are also portable. BTUs, which stands for British thermal units, is a measure of heat output. The greater the number of BTUs, the better able the grill is to evenly heat the cooking surface and reach the high temperatures necessary for searing food.
The rule of thumb for flat-top grills is that the grill should have around 60 BTUs per square inch of cooking surface. How many cooking zones the chef can create depends on the number of burners. For Blackstone Adventure example, a griddle with two burners can create two different zones.
