We are here, however, to tell you about the Char-Broil Performance burner cabinet liquid propane gas grill. Weber’s Spirit II E-310 is a great-looking (we loved the bright red) three-burner grill that cooked food well, but not great. With an MSRP of $599, it’s a bit overpriced char broil performance for what it is, but we really liked the size and design. This grill also had the tool rack and medium-heat knob indicators I missed on the Char-Broil Performance XL. The Performance XL cooked burgers in an average time of 13 minutes, 57 seconds to reach 145 degrees as a batch.
But the best thing is that it will help to keep your tank safe from the snow or wind. Burgers and steaks cook evenly without having to move them around the grill. The cast iron grates get hot enough for searing and leave beautiful grill marks on pork chops and chicken. Assembly of this 4 burner gas grill is relatively simple and easy, though some users have expressed that the instructions can be confusing. Its ample cooking space makes this grill attractive for larger cookouts, where you’re trying to grill for twenty or thirty people at once.
The primary cooking area of the Performance is 475 square inches, which compares well to other similar models, like the Weber Performer Deluxe. I’m a little skeptical of that, and would put that at closer to (I like to put ample space between meat). I’ve always been a fan of grills with porcelain-coated grates as this coating helps distribute heat char broil performance evenly across its cooking surface. I’ve found this particularly useful for longer forms of cooking (i.e. not just searing), as it helps reduce uneven hot and cold spots across your grill. Char-Broil has consistently produced affordable propane grills for barbecue and grilling newcomers, with their Performance series standing as their best one yet.
Always inspect the connection with the propane tank before use to ensure if there are no leaks. The two side shelves are just what the griller ordered for holding all the bits and pieces you end up needing. Seriously, if you’ve ever grilled without shelves, you know how valuable these are. Plus, they fold down, meaning the Char-Broil Performance 300 takes up much less space in storage than many comparable grills. Owners of this model appreciate the convenience features and the flexibility of 2-burner cooking, all wrapped up in a budget-friendly barbecue. Too many are simply trying to capitalize on affiliate revenue.
