There may be more, but in trying to factory reset our review unit to double check the count, we discovered that DJI doesn’t actually offer that feature. It’s something phantom 4 to consider if you expect to ever sell the drone. It looks fine on smaller screens, but once you start editing your footage, you’ll immediately notice its drawbacks.
The drone actually weighs less than 249 grams which gives you wiggle room for other accessories before going over into the 250g space. Another advantage of the Mavic Mini’s size is that it can stay in the air longer. The Mini drone features up to 31 minutes of flight time on a full battery charge.
It works by selecting a route in the Fly app, and sends the drone off and follows the route. Since we tested the first edition of the DJI Mini, DJI has upgraded the camera, which ‘only’ had 2.7K resolution, to 4K resolution, in 30, 25 or 24p. The data stream has been increased from 40 to 100 Mbps, and the ranges are far better than before. It is small enough to nearly fit in your pocket, yet it is powerful enough to fly several kilometers away, and film everything in 4K resolution.
The drone weighs only 249 grams.As expected, the camera has difficulties with highlight in bright sunlight, so take the exposures as raw files, and adjust them in the finishing. Such small image chips suffer from image noise in low light. This is fact of life, but you only notice this in pictures taken in very low light. Super easy to fly, with easy control and clear app. The Fly More Combo package is a lot of fun for the money. The DJI Mini 2 Drone weighs roughly the same as an apple — but a portable size doesn’t mean this drone lacks power. Whether you’re shooting at a deserted beach or capturing the details of a fun family reunion, Mini 2 can handle it all. All those image quality specs really do matter — but so does the DJI Mini 2’s size. It’s a drone that I never hesitate to toss in my camera bag.
The 4K shooter is backed with a 100Mbps data rate and 12MP stills with various panoramic modes. Additionally, there is microSD card storage to hold it all, over 30 minutes of phantom 4 flight time, and a very impressive six-mile range. With just a few taps, Mini 2 automatically records and shoots professional-level videos to share directly on social media.
The main controller has an auto take off and landing button, a quick shutter release control on the front right, with a rolling control on the left to allow for gimbal movement, up and down. When you get comfortable with the Mavic Mini 2, it may be taken off from the hand – be very careful, maybe use protective gloves if you try this – and landed in the same way. Because of this, allied with its size, it can be flown from just about anywhere, on a mountainside, from a ski slope, by the ocean, wherever you like.
Use DJI Mini 2 with the 360° Propeller Guard to fully protect the propellers and improve flight safety. Its sub-250g weight places Mini 2 in the safest category of drones. Mini 2 also has an array of safety features, such as geofencing, downward sensors, and an altitude limit.
Usually when I take out the Mavic 2 Pro, I worry about ND filters, polarizers, and I try to keep the aperture at that sharpest f/5,6 – f/8 range. It’s almost like going from a fully manual SLR to a point-and-shoot camera. I basically just leave dji mini 2 fly more combo everything on auto without being too precious about the technical side of things, trusting that everything I get will actually be quite good. It’s a nice change of pace to my overall approach that I wasn’t expecting when I started my review.

Drone, Helix, Rocket, Circle and Boomerang, which do exactly what the name says, but it also has a panorama mode – and a mode called Sphere – that can provide quite spectacular landscape panoramas. Afterwards, you just need to press the Return To Home button – RTH – on the remote control, then it flies straight back to the take off position. Mini 2 is DJI’s smallest and lightest drone, which sneaks below 250 grams, by one gram, and is so easy to handle that everyone can get nice pictures and great shots with it.
