The upper deck of the ship is also designed with families in mind, with plenty of space to relax. Disney said there will be a special retreat for adults and an all-new Toy Story splash zone. When guests first step onboard they will enter the Grand Hall. This fairy-tale inspired, three story atrium is being described as a Disney castle on the high seas. A bronze statue of the classic Disney character will live in this space alongside pumpkin coach stained glass and a beautiful fairy godmother inspired chandelier. Onboard the ship, guests will be able to explore Disney’s immersive worlds including Frozen, Star Wars, Marvel Superheroes and of course, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals.

The front dashboard also has interactive buttons that make realistic train noises when pressed. The eye-catching color scheme is based on the movie Frozen. It features everyone’s favorite trio, Elsa, Anna, and lovable Olaf. There’s plenty of shopping, of course, across multiple stores that are priced everywhere from the high end to the really high end. There’s also plenty of merch that’s specific to the Disney Wish, from clothing to toys—Disney knows its fans love to collect souvenirs from across its range of businesses.

Is a super fun carnival game-inspired 4D ride that brings you into Woody’s World. I always spend time in Toy Story Land during a day in Hollywood Studios. We got an early start in the Park and have a long day ahead, so now it’s time for some caffeine. Head over to a Joffrey’s Coffee Stand to purchase one of my all-time favorite sips, the Shakin’ Jamaican. Joffrey’s Coffee is a Florida brand that delivers on all the robust and delicious coffee flavors you crave and is a staple of the Disney Parks.

It turns out the front smokestack isn’t a smokestack at all and is just there for looks—or for your own private 1,966-square-foot duplex suite. No other cruise ship has a luxury suite in one of the funnels. True, the location means views of the ocean aren’t as expansive as in the other types of suites, but the bragging rights are unparalleled.

Beds have night-lights for individual reading plus convenient outlets for charging things bedside. There’s also a sizable laundry room, and not a miserable closet like some ships give you. Someone at Disney HQ must have had a great sense of humor to give the room this name—fairy-tale princess Cinderella worked hard to meet a prince so she could get out of doing laundry. Still, it’s a well-equipped facility and you can charge everything to your room card. Most entertainment is geared to reinforcing the company’s most popular stories and songs.

As a child, Lasseter would race home from school to watch Chuck Jones cartoons on television. While in high school, he read The Art of Animation by Bob Thomas. The book covered the history of Disney animation and explored the making of Disney’s 1959 film Sleeping Beauty, which made Lasseter realize he wanted to do animation himself. When he saw Disney’s 1963 film The Sword in the Stone, he finally made the decision that he should become an animator.

Time stands still in the best way possible at this 66-year-old Sunset classic, where you can still ask the staff to spin the big wheel to pick your flavor for you. If you prefer to retain freedom of choice, we like the Jasmine Tea, Lychee, and “Bumpy Freeway,” aka Rocky Road. Don’t fall too in love with any of the more obscure flavors because radio flyer wagon Polly Ann makes 500 flavors in total, “only” 50 of which are available at any given time. Salt & Straw may have originated in Portland, Oregon, but the deliciousness of its inventive seasonal flavors transcends state lines. You can always count on the classics, like sea salt with caramel ribbons and Sightglass coffee cashew praline.

We all have our preferences when it comes to a Walt Disney World Resort vacation. Some prefer shows, while others fangirl out over thrill rides. Still, others love diving into dining and drink options in the Park between visits to storybook rides. Today I’m sharing some of my Hollywood Studios highlights in hopes you find them helpful in planning a Hollywood Studios itinerary. His mother’s profession contributed to his growing preoccupation with animation. He often drew cartoons during church services at the Church of Christ church his family attended.
