On a related note, coffee makers compatible with k-cups are typically more expensive. Keurig holds a prominent position in the market place, and dictates the prices. On one hand, Keurig claims that all the plastic its coffee machines and K-pods are made of, is FDA approved and BPA free, and hence, safe to use. My K-Cup, however, appears to defeat the purpose of a single cup coffee machine.

So don’t expect a piping hot cup of coffee from this machine. The K-Mini is Keurig’s classic coffee machine made small, with power cord storage, a single-cup water reservoir, and a width of only five inches. Built to be non-intrusive, the K-Mini is a decent appliance for small living areas, saving countertop space.

However, the plastic allows for six different color options so you can match your unique style and kitchen decor. The highlight of the K Mini Plus’s design is by far its compact design. This machine was made for small spaces, and we couldn’t agree with that premise more. Considering the small size of the K Mini Plus, we have to give the brand credit for the convenient features it includes. The K Mini Plus definitely has some upgrades following its predecessor, the K Mini, and we’d be at fault if we didn’t highlight them.

The two machines have some less significant differences, which we touch on. The top of the Keurig K-Mini Plus has a “Strong” button. It may seem a small difference, but this is pivotal to the brew quality.

That is especially true if you’re short on space, as it is the most compact Keurig available. There is nothing to critique when it comes to the water reservoir on the K-Mini Plus. Yes, it only holds one serving of water at a time, so you will have to refill it every time you Cuisinart Coffee brew coffee. And the advantage of this system is that you can precisely choose the actual cup size of your coffee based on how much water you add. This coffee machine can brew anywhere between 6oz to 12oz of coffee, depending on how much water I pour in the water reservoir.

If you need to brew more at one time, it could be a bit annoying to keep refilling it every time you need another cup. The new updated Mini brings a space-saving design and simplicity of use. Only 4.5 inches wide, the $99.99 K-Mini Plus is the slimmest Keurig machine on the market. It will fit anywhere in the kitchen or even your desk at work.

The brewer uses all regular k-cups, branded and non-branded. We would certainly recommend this product to anyone who doesn’t Hamilton Beach mind spending a couple of extra bucks. It’s reliable, produces quality coffee, and looks great on your countertop.
