Weber Genesis II 300 Series Premium Gas Grill Cover

I grill at least three times a week and there isn’t a propane grill out there that cooks as well as the Genesis. My old one, not Weber, was deteriorating and replacement parts were not available. I went with Weber because of the lengthy warranty and availability of parts for the future. I have been grilling more with this grill than I have in a number of years. Two large wheels on one side and two locking swivel casters on the other make it easy to move the grill to different parts of the patio or deck.

Grab each deflector plate and pull straight upwards as with the grates. Grab on each side of the grill grate with your hands and lift straight upwards. However, the improvement outweigh these few issues, and these are still the best grills your money can buy.

This makes the new Genesis grills significantly easier to steer while the older grills only steer with the two front casters. One of the most exciting updates to the Genesis model line is the versatility of the new grills. Weber created the new Crafted Outdoor Kitchen collection. This means that the grates, weber q instead of having a 50/50 split, have a 60/40 split. The larger grate can be switched out for the frame into which you can insert a host of grillware that can be purchased separately. This makes your Weber Genesis immensely more versatile enabling you to sear, bake, roast, stir-fry, or steam.

Only half of the heat deflectors plates will have burners underneath them. So do not be alarmed when not all plates have a burner. Finally there’s the semi-protected enclosure for your propane tank, complete with gas level indicator. The Weber Genesis II series represents Weber’s update and replacement of the trusty old Genesis range. The Genesis II range brings new technology and expanded grill sizes to the table. If you use the Genesis E-330 vs the Genesis II E-330 as a template, you can expect the updated versions to be slightly larger than their predecessors.

The Genesis II follows Weber’s hallowed three-burner Genesis line, and there’s some nice thinking here. All models of Gensis II Exclusive Edition with 7 mm Stainless Steel cooking grill grates. If your Weber Genesis II grill is not heating up and cooking your food properly, the problem is most likely the burners, the piece of the grill where gas is emitted.

They’re definitely pricier than many of the grills you’ll find through online retailers, but not as expensive as some of the competition (or even Weber’s own Summit line). If you have a bit of money to invest in a quality unit, a Genesis grill could be the way to go. You start by building-up the frame and then dropping the firebox into the frame, taking care to properly route the electrical wiring and gas line around the grill frame. There are lots of little screws and washers and clips and do-dads…you’ll want to take your time and exercise patience when assembling one of these grills. The good old Flavorizer bars plus new heat deflectors that help distribute heat evenly throughout the cookbox. On the Weber Genesis II E-210, the propane mount doubles as a refill indicator.

This two-burner grill was slower to preheat than the top grills in our tests and might need more than 10 minutes to reach the grilling temperature you want. Once it does, our tests show that the weber q temperature remains constant across the grates. Indirect cooking, where food is placed off a direct flame, was very good. The Genesis Series has been a staple of the Weber BBQ lineup since 1985.
