This is a famous brand all around the world especially North US, India, and China. If you can live without all of the advanced features and optional extras of a higher-priced appliance, this thing is in a league of its own in terms of all-around value for money. As you’d expect, there’s also a defrost feature, but it is not something that I tend to use. In my experience, I’ve found it practically impossible to defrost anything in a microwave evenly, so I tend not to bother.
Programs can be easily selected, based on food weight – so, it practically offers customized cooking with 10 variable levels. Undoubtedly every user will soon appreciate the convenient defrost-by-weight, speed-defrost and timer functions of this model. One feature that we particularly liked was the microwave’s “Express Cook” buttons. If you use Express Cook all the time, you’ll particularly appreciate this expanded set of features. The Start button also serves as a “Quick 30” button, allowing you to start a 30-second cook time or add 30 seconds to a timer that’s already started.
My other issue is the button is really hard to press to open the door and since I have mine set up on a shelve it causes it to move way back. But this microwave warms up your food very fast and it very easy to use. I will definitely recommend this to family and friends. I loved the sleek look of the Matte Black Hamilton Beach 1.1 Cu.ft Microwave. With all of the preset functions it was very easy to use, and best of all it heated my food evenly!
The higher the wattage, the faster it can cook. Hamilton Beach microwaves typically have 700W to 1,200W of power. Models with less than 700W tend to cook slowly and may not produce even results. This small but powerful model has no problem handling the most common microwave uses, while the size is perfect for those with limited counter space. Hamilton Beach only has a 1 year warranty on its products because they know they’re all pieces of crap!
